Air-Cooling: How to maximize it

Posted in: PC |

Hey guys, Icarus here with question and a solution.

Have you ever bought a case and had no idea where to put your extra fans? Well, if you put a few in the wrong place, be ready for some overheating! So, you ask, how do I put the fans in the correct orientations?

Well, first of all, you have to know the basics. There’re intake fans and exhaust fans. Intake fans… well… they take in cool air. The exhaust fansĀ  take out the hot air out of your computer case. Very simple so far. And don’t worry, everything is very simple.

Now, you should ask yourself, how many intake/exhaust fans should I have? Well, just think: if you take in more air than you put out, then there’ll be warm air stuck in your case to make your components even warmer. So you do the opposite: Have a little more exhaust power than intake power. By doing so, you eliminate the possibility of containing your warm air, and there will always be cool air there for components to use and cool themselves.

It’s extremely simple. It just requires minimal thought processes, and then you will have your ideal air-cooling setup in your computer. And that setup will cool your components down very well. Say good bye to overheating!

Well, that’s all for today. I have a giant headache, and I need sleep. Good night!
