Intel: More for Us!!

Recently, Intel announced a price cut on its processors anywhere from 11% to 20%!!!
This is a move for the back-to-school season, but they did it ahead of time this year, probably to take more of the CPU market into their own hands.
Another reason that Intel may be doing this is to slowly slip the older CPUs away from the market and start pushing in more of their Core i5 and Core i7 series into the market. Some of the lower Core iX series are getting pretty cheap now-a-days compared to the performance they provide. It will be time well-spent if you look into those.
I don’t know exactly which processors Intel is going to down-price, but so far it looks like the quad-cores(Core2Quad I’m guessing), the Core2 Duo series, Celeron series, and the Xeon series are going to be priced down. Sounds good to me! If you want to make a daily-use computer, now would be a great time!
