Top 7 Reasons to Upgrade NOW
Hey guys, Icarus here!
Today, I’m going to compile for you my “Top 7 Reasons to Upgrade NOW”.
Why is it such a great time to upgrade your components right now? Even in this recession?
Because the computer technology industry never stops improving its hardware, and as more advanced hardware come out, the prices start to go down!
So, here we go!
TOP 7 REASONS TO UPGRADE NOW
- The CPU Industry is BOOMING! If you haven’t read some of my recent posts on Intel’s Core i5 and i7 Lynnfield CPUs or AMD’s hexa-core 40W Operatron EE CPUs and some other posts, you’re missing out!
These new CPUs are not only inexpensive and targeted at the lower-budget and mid-budget computer builders, but they’re also performance monsters! - Motherboard Industry has motherboards for all levels of budget builders! I’m specifically talking about Intel’s P55 Motherboards. Intel created the P55 chipset specifically because many vendors made motherboards for all levels of budgets:
- low-budget builders
- mid-budget builders
- high-end enthusiasts
And that’s just more reason to take advantage of some of the less-expensive, but still outstanding performers!
- The GPU Industry is on the Verge of an All-Out War! To learn more about the war between the two, try reading some of my articles on NVidia and AMD. It’s going to get serious here!
Once NVidia comes out with their GT300 and AMD comes out with their RV870 DX11 GPUs(which is VERY soon), the prices of the older DX10, but still pretty new GPUs are going to go down majorly! And even now, many of AMD/ATi’s GPUs have AWESOME price/performance probabilities.
- Look At the Hard Drives Right Now! What do you see?
Internal Hard Drives… the stuff we have right now is just amazing.Just a few months ago, we were on 1TB hard drives, and now we’re all the way up to 2TBs! On 7200RPM!
And take a look at the Solid State Disks aka SSD’s. They’re extremely fast, and the amount of storage you have on those is constantly increasing!
Literally, at an exponential rate.
- Constant Stream of Innovation on All Ends
Have you noticed, recently, that there’s constantly new things coming out every month or so?That’s more than enough reason to start thinking about upgrading.
When new hardware comes out, older generation parts become a bit more obsolete, and the prices on them start to go down.
When prices go down, we’re happy consumers. When we upgrade, we’re happy consumers. It’s always a win-win for us!
- Windows 7 is Going to Get Mainstream!
Look, we all know Windows 7 is going to be one of the best operating systems out there. With more user-friendly features and more potential to max out on both software and hardware usage.
And as we constantly get updates on the new OSs, we can do more for less. Literally.
So why not take advantage of this situation, and upgrade?
- Hardware Is Becoming So Advanced that…
Many of the low-budget hardware can handle all of our daily needs. Before, hardware was still catching up to what we can do with software. So consequently, we had to buy better, much more expensive hardware to do some of the things we wanted.
Like playing Crysis on good resolution/quality, using Photoshop and benchmarking software at the same time, some of the stuff we literally drool over.
Well, there’s my top 7 reasons! Hope it helped and hope you guys enjoyed it!
More to come! Make sure to comment and subscribe!
Cheers!
